Department of chemistry has been established during the year 2014 and staff pattern of department of chemistry have one professor and one assistant professor are working I the department. Among the professor and Head having Ph. D degree another is pursuing Ph. D degree. Non teaching faculties of the department have one Instructor and one helper.

Chemistry laboratory well equipped instruments with area of 200 Sq.ft. In this laboratory consist of 35 students are accommodated per batch. The laboratory consists of one preparation room, one instrument room, and one staff room.

Department of chemistry has been affiliated under VTU Belagavi.  The staff members are guiding the students of B.E, for project and research works. Staff members have been published more than 55 research papers at national and International Conference/Symposia. Presently Two more research candidates are doing research work on Crystallography, Kinetics, Nano – science and Nano-technology under the guidance of Dr. B. P. Siddaraju. The department of chemistry serves the purpose of imparting knowledge in the core science subject, which is a foundational building block for most engineering disciplines. 

Department regularly organize conferences, Seminars, Quiz competitions, Industrial Visits, and Academic Talks by eminent scientists from University/research institutes/industries.  The staff members teaching chemistry for the students to enrich knowledge of applied science in engineering applications.
